PSG Star Achraf Hakimi Entrusts Mother with Managing His Wealth
Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, revealed that his mother has been managing his finances since the start of his professional career, long before his marriage.
In the "AB Talks" podcast, the player explained: "When I was young, I was able to earn money through football, but I didn’t know how to manage it or how to organize my financial affairs. My mother therefore took charge of this issue and managed the money related to all aspects of our daily life."
Hakimi justified this choice by emphasizing the trust he places in his mother: "Ultimately, when you have money and a certain wealth, you have to trust a small number of people. I think the mother is the person who will preserve this money and your stability. She will never try to steal from you, because your money is also hers."
He was keen to specify that this situation was not related to his divorce: "A mother always wants the best for her son. It has never been linked to marriage, but goes back long before, because my mother manages everything."
This revelation echoes information published in the press, according to which his ex-wife, Hiba Abouk, would have discovered after their separation that all the player’s assets were in his mother’s name.
For the record, Achraf Hakimi is a key player for PSG. His performances since his arrival in 2021, from Inter Milan, earned him a contract extension until 2029 and a salary of 14 million euros per year.
