PSG Renews Interest in Chelsea’s Struggling Midfielder Hakim Ziyech

Arrived at Chelsea for 40 million euros from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2020, Hakim Ziyech has not experienced the expected success with the Blues. The Moroccan player, who had contributed to Ajax’s qualification for the Champions League semi-finals in 2019, is struggling to establish himself in the London team.
Under the direction of Frank Lampard, then Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, he has not been able to meet the expectations placed in him.
Ziyech’s poor performances have fueled rumors of a possible departure from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Paris Saint-Germain, who is looking to strengthen its squad for the Champions League, had also tried to recruit the player during the last winter transfer window.
The Parisian club, which plans new recruits to renew its sports project, has thus recently requested the recruitment of Ziyech. It remains to be seen whether the player will ultimately leave Chelsea to join the Parc des Princes through a loan or a permanent transfer. In any case, the Moroccan player has played a total of 102 matches with the Blues, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists.
