PSG’s Luis Enrique Wary of Marseille’s Ounahi Ahead of Crucial Ligue 1 Clash

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach and former Spain coach, Luis Enrique, still remembers Azzedine Ounahi, the Moroccan midfielder of Olympique de Marseille (OM), whose praise he had after Spain’s elimination by Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The former Spanish coach has not forgotten Azzedine Ounahi, to whom he had expressed his admiration after Spain’s elimination in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (0-0, p.s. 3-0). "I was pleasantly surprised by number 8. Oh my God, where does this player come from?" he had said about the Moroccan midfielder. The coach has again saluted the performances of the young player who has been playing for Olympique de Marseille (OM) since January, a club that PSG is receiving this Sunday as part of the 6th round of Ligue 1.
"Yes, he is clearly an international player. For me, it’s not a great joy to talk about this match (in reference to Morocco-Spain, ed.). It’s a match where Morocco had played very well and defended, especially Ounahi who had been very good that day. But there was also Hakimi in this group. He still mocks me when talking about this match at training," Luis Enrique said on Saturday at a press conference. PSG faces OM this Sunday at 7:45 pm at the Parc des Princes.
