PSG’s Hakimi Continues to Tease Coach Luis Enrique Over World Cup Defeat

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach, Luis Enrique Martinez, said that Achraf Hakimi continues to joke with him about Spain’s defeat against Morocco (0-0, 3-0 on penalties) in the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The former coach of the Spanish national team mentioned this defeat on Saturday in the pre-match press conference against Olympique de Marseille (OM), when a journalist asked him what he thinks of the Moroccan midfielder of OM, Azzedine Ounahi, whose performance he had praised after Spain’s elimination from the World Cup.
"He is an international player. It is not easy for us to talk about this match... It was a hard-fought match, where Morocco fought, defended very well, especially Ounahi who did a fantastic job. Hakimi is still joking with me about this match," said Luis Enrique.
For the PSG coach, the crisis shaking Marseille, with the departure of coach Marcelino and the attempted resignation of president Pablo Longoria, could have a positive or negative impact on the match scheduled for Sunday at the Parc des Princes. "We are ready for any situation, the greatness of a team is to know how to adapt," he stressed.
"We will prepare this match in the same way as the others, we have to manage the emotions, we must not exaggerate," assured Luis Enrique, recalling the remarkable performance of the Marseille team now under the orders of Jacques Abardonado, against Ajax (3-3) on Thursday in Amsterdam in the Europa League.
