PSG Blames Chelsea for Blocking Ziyech Transfer, Campos Reveals

PSG missed a key transfer this winter with Hakim Ziyech who was supposed to join the Parisian club. Sporting director Luis Campos said he did everything possible to finalize the transaction, but Chelsea did not make things easy.
Speaking on the Téléfoot show, Campos expressed his frustration, accusing the London club of having thwarted the transfer. "We did everything for Ziyech to join the PSG, and the player was also willing. But like all transfers, the three parties have to work well together. Everything was perfect on the side of PSG and Ziyech... but unfortunately, Chelsea did not do what was necessary," Campos said.
The Moroccan international did everything to join Paris Saint-Germain. The contacts seem to have been made at the end of the transfer window and the player had insisted to the management to try to speed up the transaction. He would even, according to the English press, have offered to pay out of his own pocket to leave Chelsea.
