PSG - Atlético Madrid: Achraf Hakimi’s Ratings by the Sports Press

Despite the defeat conceded at home against Atlético Madrid (1-2), Achraf Hakimi stood out as the main offensive animator of PSG. The sports press unanimously praised his activity and combativeness, while pointing out a lack of success in the final gesture.
Footmercato gave Hakimi a score of 7, the highest among PSG players. The media praised his liveliness and his central role in the offensive animation. "He is the one who throws the first thrill of the match with this half-volley dangerous from the 2nd minute," notes Footmercato, which also highlights his precise pass for Ousmane Dembélé shortly after (5th). Although some of his crosses were not perfectly executed (12th, 37th), Hakimi proved to be one of the few Parisian players to create opportunities and bring intensity.
Eurosport shares this opinion by rating the Moroccan at 6.5, specifying that he and Dembélé "were the only reasons to get up from his seat" at the Parc des Princes. The press describes an indefatigable Hakimi, constantly trying to sneak behind the Madrid defense to offer solutions and try to destabilize the opposing rearguard.

While the press agrees on Hakimi’s remarkable commitment, it also points to his lack of realism in crucial moments. For Culture PSG, the Moroccan full-back was "a permanent threat to Atlético with his runs from the first to the last second", but the medium regrets "his lack of lucidity in front of goal", especially at the end of the game. The choice to shoot rather than pass in a favorable situation (77th) was noted as a missed opportunity that could have changed the course of the match.
Parisfans, who also gives him a score of 6.5, emphasizes this same weakness: "After all his efforts, it’s hard to blame him, but at the end of the match, he has to do better on the last opportunity, especially in the Champions League."
Despite the criticism regarding the finishing, the press remains unanimous in saluting Hakimi’s incessant activity. Le Parisien, who gives him a 6, describes a player "who provoked the first sparks in the first half" and who "woke up after the break to propose and try without respite." The newspaper highlights a performance marked by intense runs, although punctuated by moments of inattention that did not, however, tarnish the overall quality of his performance.
Maxifoot agrees with a score of 6.5, noting that Hakimi "was involved in many movements" and "woke up his team in the second half." His defensive efforts were also highlighted, showing a complete player, as efficient in recovery as in the creation of opportunities.
The press agrees on one essential point: Achraf Hakimi is today one of the most regular players of PSG, offering reliable and committed performances. For Footmercato, his score of 7 testifies to his role as "the best Parisian attacker without being an attacker".
The Moroccan international has shown that he can bring intensity, rhythm and a desire to create opportunities, even if his efficiency in front of goal remains perfectible. His performance, although incomplete, earned him well-deserved praise and made him one of the few positive elements of the Parisian evening.
Achraf Hakimi’s performance against Atlético Madrid illustrates the impact of his constant activity and his importance in the Parisian system. While his performance is praised for its intensity and its driving role in the attack, the press reproaches him for a certain haste in the final gesture. But in a match where the team struggled, Hakimi stood out for his combativeness and his role as an animator, confirming that he remains a major asset for PSG.
