Moroccan Soccer Star Hakimi Leads Effort to Aid Ailing Former Player

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the Achraf Hakimi Foundation and several former players have decided to come to the rescue of Samir Ouidar, former midfielder of Berkane and Difaa d’El Jadida, whose health has deteriorated in recent months.
The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, has intervened in the case of the former player of Renaissance de Berkane, Samir Ouidar, learns Rue20. The former player of Association de Salé suffers from a serious heart problem, which has worsened again after a fight against the disease since 2020. He suffered from hypertrophy of the heart muscle. His health has deteriorated in recent months, requiring his emergency admission to a hospital in Casablanca. Ouidar needs a heart transplant.
The FRMF, with the support of the Achraf Hakimi Charitable Foundation and several former players, is preparing to cover the costs of the surgical operation that will be performed abroad for Ouidar. Several players from the national team also wish to join this solidarity effort.
