PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Sidelined for Lille Clash Due to Hamstring Injury

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi will not be lined up for the match pitting Paris Saint-Germain against Lille this Sunday due to a persistent injury to the hamstrings.
The right-back is out for the match that PSG is playing at home against Lille for the 24th round of Ligue 1. According to the Parisian club’s press release, Achraf Hakimi is suffering from "discomfort in the left hamstrings" and "will remain in treatment in the coming days".
Last Tuesday at the Parc des Princes, during the match against Bayern Munich, the Moroccan player was unable to last until the end of the match. The match was also won by the visitors (1-0), leading to criticism of the Atlas Lion’s performance. But for his coach, he was not to blame. "Achraf Hakimi was very uncertain and was suffering after 20 minutes," Christophe Galtier said.
Achraf Hakimi will not be the only absentee on Sunday. Defender and captain Marquinhos "injured in the left thigh" against Bayern, "remained in the locker room," according to the club, which specifies that "a new update will be made on Saturday," on the eve of the match. Christophe Galtier is nevertheless pleased with Kylian Mbappé’s return. "Kylian will play, we have to win this weekend, and you have a better chance of winning with Kylian than without him," he said.
