PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Ranks 9th Among World’s Most Valuable Defenders at €65 Million

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is featured in the latest ranking of the ten most expensive defenders in the world. What is his market value?
With an estimated market value of 65 million euros, Achraf Hakimi ranks 9th in the ranking of the 10 most expensive defenders in the world, published by the German website specialized in transfers, Transfermarkt. The 24-year-old Moroccan right-back of PSG is followed by the Englishman Trent Alexander-Arnold, 25, who completes the top 10. They both have the same market value. Croatian international Joško Gvardiol, 21, who plays for Manchester City, and Brazilian Luis Díaz (26, Manchester City) top the ranking with an estimated market value of 80 million euros.
Next come Frenchman William Saliba (22, Arsenal), Canadian Alphonso Davies (22, Bayern Munich), Dutchman Matthijs de Ligt (24, Bayern Munich), Uruguayan Ronaldo Araújo (24, FC Barcelona) and Brazilian Éder Militão (24, Real Madrid) whose market value is estimated at 70 million euros. Portuguese international Nuno Mendes (21, Paris Saint-Germain) is in 8th place. His market value is estimated at 65 million euros.
To compile its ranking, Transfermarkt took into account criteria related to the player’s performance with his club and national team, his age, his contract with the club and his statistics.
