PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Named to FIFA 22 Team of the Year

The Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is not done making headlines. The full-back playing for Paris Saint-Germain is among the players chosen to be part of the FIFA TOTY 22 Team Of The Year.
The list of players who are part of the team of the year was revealed by David Beckham in a video. Achraf Hakimi was elected by gamers in the category of best defender of the year, alongside Ruben Dias, Marquinhos, Joao Cancelo. Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Kylian for the attack, and Kevin De Bruyne, Jorginho and N’Golo Kanté for the midfield.
As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he was not selected in the ultimate XI, but was designated as the 12th player. "While he came close to a place in the ultimate XI, Cristiano Ronaldo has been confirmed as the 12th player of the TOTY, according to your votes, and he has obtained the last place in the FIFA 22 Team of the Year," EA specifies.
It should also be noted that Honorable Mentions were awarded to 15 players, including Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Karim Benzema (France), Antonio Rüdiger (Germany) or Edouard Mendy (Senegal).
