PSG’s Achraf Hakimi Falters in Champions League Loss to Real Madrid

Achraf Hakimi may not have been up to the expectations of PSG supporters on Wednesday evening, during the return leg of the Champions League round of 16. His performance may not have been of the same caliber as the first leg.
The French press gave very poor ratings to the Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, following PSG’s defeat against Real Madrid. Even though throughout the first half, the Atlas Lion shook the Madrid defense, in the second half, the player was uncomfortable, losing most of his duels like the one against Vinicius. A performance for which So Foot gives him a score of 4/10. "A TGV for more than an hour of play, then a TER Corail after the Madrid equalizer. The ravages of the SNCF strike," mocks the French magazine.
For l’Équipe, Hakimi deserved his 4/10. The sports daily justifies this score by the calm "the right-back has shown, especially after the Madrid equalizer, he was swept away like all his teammates".
Same score for Foot Mercato, which explains that "the Moroccan international experienced very difficult first minutes on his right flank where he suffered against Vinicius in the first duels. Like his team, from the Parisian equalizer, he endured the waves and after a few good interventions, he took the blow," writes the media.
For its part, Onze Mondial gives him a 5/10 and advises him to calm his ardor for his offensive runs. It is Le Parisien who gave the lowest score, 3/10, "due to his positioning errors".
