Princess Lalla Khadija Inaugurates New African Reptile Vivarium at Rabat Zoo
The official opening ceremony of the vivarium of the Rabat National Zoological Garden mobilized people around Princess Lalla Khadija this Friday. The latter presided over the inauguration of this jewel which has an impressive number of animal species.
It is a large zoological park that covers 1,700 m2. After cutting the symbolic ribbon, the princess visited the vivarium, which includes several areas housing some living reptile species from different regions of Africa.
There could be several zones including the Morocco Zone, the Sub-Saharan Zone, the Afro-Alpine Zone, the Equatorial Zone, the Subtropical Zone and the Malagasy Zone. The construction of this space has the main objective of presenting the great biological diversity of the African continent and its specificities and of awakening the ecological awareness of citizens.
