Princess Diana's Iconic Azagury Gown Expected to Fetch Up to $200,000 at Auction

An evening dress created by Moroccan Jacques Azagury for Princess Diana is among the valuable items that will be auctioned off in December in Beverly Hills, United States.

The dress Lady DI wore in Florence, Italy, in April 1985 will be auctioned off as part of the Hollywood Legends sale organized by Julien’s Auction and Turner Classic Movies, which will take place from December 14 to 17, 2023, in Beverly Hills, United States. It is an evening dress with a ballerina skirt. Created by the Moroccan couturier Jacques Azagury, it is estimated between $100,000 and $200,000, reports The Guardian.

The pink crepe blouse with a ruffled collar and ample pleats on the front that Princess Diana wore in the official portrait of her engagement to Prince Charles in 1981 will also be auctioned. The price of this garment, created by stylists David and Elizabeth Emanuel, is estimated between $80,000 and $100,000. This garment had been presented during the Diana: Her fashion story exhibition at Kensington Palace in 2019.
