The president of FC Seville reacts to Youssef En-Nesyri’s dispute

The president of Seville FC, José María del Nido Carrasco, commented on the incident between coach Quique Sánchez Flores and Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, which occurred last Sunday during the match against Celta Vigo.
"What happened between En-Nesyri and Quique is normal. The player wants to continue playing, and this is something that happens more often than you think. These are normal things that usually happen during training or in the locker room, but it doesn’t go any further," clarified Del Nido Carrasco in a statement to the press.
To recall, Quique decided to replace the Moroccan striker with Lukebakio in the second half of the match against Celta Vigo. After being substituted, the Moroccan international expressed his anger by kicking a refrigerator. Quique, having seen the player’s inappropriate gesture, reproached him for his attitude. For his part, En-Nesyri also let the technician know that he did not appreciate being replaced.
The president of Seville FC added that the incident did not deserve to be dwelled upon, assuring that the problem will be resolved internally. The club’s leader specified that he has nothing to reproach the coach and the technical staff. "I have 100% confidence in Quique and the team," he affirmed, recalling that Quique Flores’ contract with Seville runs until the end of this season and will be automatically renewed if Seville remains in the top 10 of the standings.
"I am convinced that we have the best technical staff, but it is too early to talk about the future. Now, the only goal is the match against Getafe," concluded Del Nido Carrasco, who invites the players and the technical staff to remain focused on the next eight games to finish the championship in style.
