Pregnant Woman Kidnapped and Assaulted in Marrakech; Three Arrested, Including Estranged Husband
The elements of the prefectural judicial police service of Marrakech arrested three individuals, including two repeat offenders. They are accused of being allegedly involved in a case of sequestration, sexual assault with violence, and stabbing.
The case broke out when the victim, a pregnant woman, filed a complaint against her husband, with whom she was in the process of divorce due to domestic violence, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
In her statement, the woman accuses her husband of forcing her to accompany him in a private car, before sequestering her in an apartment. He would then have sexually assaulted her with blows and injuries under the threat of a knife and violently cut her hair, with the participation of two of his friends.
The research and investigations carried out by the elements of the judicial police made it possible to arrest the accused and his two accomplices. They were placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
