Pregnant Moroccan Woman Dies by Suicide After Court Ruling in Marriage Promise Case

A 23-year-old pregnant woman committed suicide in Boujdour. The origin of this suicide is a broken marriage promise.
The young woman was in a relationship with a man who had promised her marriage. Once pregnant, he no longer honored his promise. Angry, the pregnant woman filed a complaint against the man, but the court of first instance sentenced the young woman to two months in prison, reports Hespress. As for the married man, he will be acquitted.
Unable to bear this situation, she took her own life by hanging herself in her family home in Boujdour. According to the statements of the deceased’s aunt, the man with whom her niece became pregnant is already married and has three children.
