PJD Official Accused in Underage Sex Scandal and Illegal Abortion Case

In Kénitra, a young girl accuses a PJD official of having had sexual relations with her outside of marriage and of having abandoned her after she became pregnant. Faced with the young man’s refusal to acknowledge the pregnancy, the pregnant woman herself provoked its termination at home.
It all started with a strange discovery. The girl’s family called in a plumber to unblock the sewers. While doing his work, he discovered a large fetus stuck in the pipes, reports Al Akhbar. Alerted, the police went to the young girl’s home, who was also arrested. During her interrogation, she confessed to having had sexual relations outside of marriage with a very active community activist in rural areas in the Gharb, who is also the head of a local section of the youth of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) in Kénitra, and then became pregnant.
But he refused to acknowledge the pregnancy. The accused said she had provoked the abortion with scissors to avoid a scandal. According to the young girl, she and the young man had met and were in a perfect love affair before she found herself pregnant. She claims her lover had promised her marriage.
The police summoned the young PJD activist to hear his version of the facts. He flatly rejects all the accusations. He claims he never had sexual relations with the young girl. He recounts having received the young girl only once, when she had asked for his help in a rape case of which she claimed to be a victim, and which would be the cause of her pregnancy.
For now, the judicial police are continuing their investigation to shed light on this case.
