Pompeo to Visit Morocco in December, Highlighting Strong US-Morocco Partnership

Being "one of the United States’ strongest partners" in the region, Morocco will host the U.S. Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo, in early December 2019. The announcement was made during a press briefing he led on Tuesday in Washington.
"I look forward to reviewing the strong partnership of our countries in the economic and security fields and discussing future areas of cooperation," said U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, during a press briefing on Tuesday in Washington, announcing his visit to Morocco in early December.
The U.S. chief diplomat indicated that this trip will come after the next NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for December 3-4 in London, a summit which the host of Morocco will attend alongside President Donald Trump.
Already in Washington last month, Pompeo, who had co-chaired with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, the 4th session of the Morocco/United States Strategic Dialogue, had highlighted the "leadership" of King Mohammed VI in "promoting a bold and far-reaching reform agenda over the past two decades".
