Polisario Front Urges UN Action Against Morocco’s "Dangerous Escalation" in Western Sahara

The Polisario Front has just denounced "the escalation strategy of the Moroccan occupation" and calls on the Security Council to react.
In a statement, the Polisario Front and its representatives "alert the international community, the UN and the United Nations Mission for the Organization of a Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) on the dangerous escalation strategy of the Moroccan occupation that threatens security and stability in the region".
They call on the Security Council to "react clearly to this serious maneuver that jeopardizes the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence," the same source said.
"Whenever the Sahrawi issue is on the agenda of the Security Council or before the UN, as is currently the case, the Moroccan regime accelerates its escalation and tries to push through its hostile plans by advancing false pretexts," the statement continued.
The Security Council will consider the Sahara issue next October.
