Polisario Claims Downing of Moroccan Drone in Western Sahara Dispute

Images showing a drone allegedly Moroccan shot down by the Polisario in the Sahara are circulating on social media. What is it really about?
Has the "Sahrawi army" destroyed a Moroccan drone? This is what an audio recording circulated on social media tends to affirm. But the information is unlikely. It is actually an incident that occurred in August 2020.
In a statement, the United States Africa Command had reported that a drone had crashed in northern Niger, a poor Sahel country facing very deadly jihadist attacks, where there is a major drone base to fight armed groups in the Sahel region. It also specified that it had "lost a remotely piloted drone near Agadez in Niger due to a mechanical failure, not due to hostile action." A third drone loss after two others in February and April of the same year in the same region, for the same reason.
