Ex-Police Commissioner Sparks Outrage with Comments on Moroccan Expats’ Living Standards

Former commissioner Abdelkader El Kharraz has become a "star" on the web in recent weeks by posting videos on YouTube. One of his latest videos dedicated to Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) has earned him scathing comments.
"Most MREs live in precarious situations and receive derisory salaries that do not allow them to have a good standard of living, unlike Moroccans living in the Kingdom." This is the sentence that is the object of the current troubles of the former police commissioner intoxicated by his success. Many MREs reacted to his remarks, expressing their anger and disappointment, and calling on Moroccans to boycott his videos on the net.
Faced with the criticism, El Kharraz deleted the video and apologized, while emphasizing his admiration and great respect for Moroccans of the world. "I did not intend to offend you. I sincerely apologize," he said.
