Police Chief in Morocco Suspended for Unauthorized COVID-19 Vaccination

The fear of contracting the coronavirus is pushing some officials to get vaccinated without meeting the requirements set by the health authorities. For having received the first dose when he was not authorized to do so, a peace officer was given a temporary suspension from work.
The person involved is the station chief of the urban corps of the provincial security district of the city of Berrechid. An investigation has been opened to determine the ins and outs of the act committed by this official in charge of security, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The same statement specifies that the defendant has not reached the age of 45 required by the public authorities. This investigation also aims to identify the factors that may have facilitated this professional misconduct.
