During the hearing, the prosecution emphasized the approach of the main perpetrator, the only suspect to voluntarily surrender to authorities to corroborate the conclusions of the preliminary investigation.

At the bar, the other defendants opted for complete denial. A technician claimed he was abroad at the time of the disappearances, justifying his innocence with travel documents. One of his colleagues also contested the facts, arguing that the presence of scanners and searches by the Royal Gendarmerie made the zone impenetrable. To confront these versions, the court president had surveillance footage displayed showing comings and goings in the international warehouse.
