Peugeot Expands Moroccan Operations: 2,370 Engineers and Technicians to Staff New Kénitra Plant

The French automaker PSA, which plans to open a plant this year in Kénitra, currently has 2,370 specialized engineers and technicians.
Among these employees, 370 are on staff with the group, while 2,000 of them are subcontracted to Altran-Maroc, said the Minister of Industry, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, whose comments were reported by the newspaper L’Economiste.
Last September, the French group had announced the hiring of 900 additional people and revised upward its objectives for its plant in Kénitra, with production starting next year of 200,000 cars per year instead of the initial 100,000 planned when the agreement was signed by the authorities.
Ultimately, this plant should employ some 2,500 people.
