Petition Urges Royal Air Maroc to Restore Direct Boston-Casablanca Flights

Moroccans residing in Boston have launched a petition asking the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) to relaunch the direct Boston-Casablanca line.

RAM should consider relaunching the Boston-Casablanca flight "due to the inconvenience of driving from Boston to New York, especially for families with children, most passengers from Massachusetts and its surrounding states will no longer take the New York-Casablanca flight," said Mohamed Moutawil, the initiator of this petition that appeared on Change.org a few weeks ago. His wish is for the company to relaunch the direct Boston-Casablanca line "just as it has resumed Miami-Casablanca."

On the web, many Moroccans insist on the need to revive this link, as a large Moroccan community is located in Boston. "Yes, they have to bring me back, because I’m 60 years old, I won’t go through New York if I want to go to Casablanca," commented one of them. The Moroccan community and many other Africans and tourists from Boston "need" a direct flight to Morocco, comments another MRE.

According to another Moroccan residing in the United States, traveling from Boston to New York to take a flight to Morocco is very tiring for families with children. "We hope to travel from Boston to Morocco," he wished. "We had the experience of traveling from Boston to Casablanca Morocco directly in 2018, and the trip was really beautiful and wonderful."
