Passengers abandoned by EasyJet in Marrakech
A passenger on the Marrakech-Toulouse flight on January 6, 2026 denounces the lack of assistance from EasyJet after the cancellation of her journey. Faced with the company’s refusal to provide a refund, she is now calling for collective action to obtain compensation.
The flight scheduled for January 6 at 4:40 pm was unable to make the connection to France, forcing passengers to find emergency solutions. The company had initially offered a four-day postponement with only one night’s hotel included, leading many passengers to finance a new ticket with another carrier to return home. Maryse, one of the affected travelers, deplores the lack of support and the silence from the company during this incident.
The subsequent refund procedures have been met with a refusal from EasyJet. The company argues that the flight took place as planned or invokes extraordinary circumstances to exempt itself from the lump-sum compensation provided for by the regulations. The passenger firmly contests this position, stating that the flight was simply canceled and that she never chose to give up her trip, contrary to the claims made by the company’s editorial staff.
Faced with this impasse, Maryse is inviting the other passengers on the flight to join together to initiate a class action lawsuit. This approach aims to pool the cases in order to have more weight against the carrier and to obtain transparency on the handling of individual claims.
