Ouarzazate Establishes Field Hospital to Manage Rising COVID-19 Cases in Southern Morocco

A field hospital is being set up in Ouarzazate. The infrastructure will help alleviate the pressure of new Covid cases on other hospital facilities throughout the province.
The installation of this hospital follows the saturation of several services reserved for the reception of Covid patients throughout the province. Thus, this infrastructure will make it possible to effectively manage the increase in these positive cases coming from the various communities of the province of Ouarzazate, Zagora, Tata and Tinghir, said the acting director of the Sidi Hssain Bennaceur provincial hospital center in Ouarzazate, Abdellatif El Moutawakil.
The center covers an area of 1,250 m² with a capacity of 88 beds. It will be equipped with medical, biomedical and oxygen equipment, the acting director added in a statement to Map, also welcoming the efforts made by the Minister of Health, the regional directorate of this department in Drâa-Tafilalet, its provincial delegation in Ouarzazate, the local authorities and the health personnel for the installation of this field center under good conditions.
