Agadir Builds Second COVID-19 Field Hospital as Cases Surge in Souss Massa Region

Faced with the worrying increase in Covid-19 cases in the Souss Massa region, the health authorities have decided to erect a second field hospital in Agadir.
After the first one built last November, Agadir will be equipped with a second field health infrastructure, says the MAP.
With a capacity of 104 beds and equipped with modern equipment and technologies, its construction is part of the ongoing efforts to cope with the developments of the epidemiological situation at the national level in general and in the Souss Massa region in particular, says the regional health directorate.
This health facility also aims to alleviate the pressure on the Agadir hospital facilities, adds the same source, stating that it is equipped with 48 medical staff, including nurses and assistants.
According to the director of the Agadir regional hospital center, Jamaa Ladame, "this new medical infrastructure with a capacity of 104 beds, 20 of which are for critical cases, will provide better care for patients pending the achievement of collective immunity".
