The disappearance of Sidi, who died from liver problems, marked the actor. Since then, Orlando Bloom explains having changed the way he monitors his dogs’ health. He now has blood tests performed on his animals, as a precaution. For him, protecting a dog amounts to caring for a family member.

The actor also mentions Mighty, his poodle who disappeared in 2020, a very painful loss. After a week of searching and discovering his collar, Orlando Bloom understood he would not find him. He then had himself tattooed with an M accompanied by a heart, in tribute to this companion.
