Orange Alert: Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain to Hit Multiple Moroccan Provinces

Significant thunderstorms are expected this Monday in several Moroccan provinces, according to an orange alert issued by the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
The cities of Figuig, Boulemane, Azilal, Béni Mellal, El Haouz and Midelt are among the regions most affected by these showers, the amount of which is estimated between 25 to 45 mm. The same will be true for the High and Middle Atlas, the south of the Oriental and certain parts of the southern Saharan provinces.
Fairly strong gusts of wind are also expected in the South, Center and Southeast of the Kingdom, the DGM specifies.
As for temperatures, they will rise in the North and drop in the South. Minimum values will range from 03/10 °C in the Atlas, the Rif, Oulmès and the Eastern High Plateaus, 16/23 °C in the Souss, the Southeast and the Saharan provinces, and 10/16 °C in the rest of the country.
