Olympic Champion El Bakkali Places 4th in Diamond League Opener in Doha

The first stage of the Diamond League, which took place on Friday in Doha, saw the participation of Soufiane El Bakkali, in the 3000m event.
The Moroccan finished fourth in a time of 7:33.87, better than his personal performance of the year.
The Olympic champion and world champion was beaten by the Ethiopians Lamecha Girma (7:26.18), Selemon Barega (7:27.16) and Berihu Aregawi (7:27.61).
Next competition for Sofiane El Bakkali on May 28 at the Mohammed VI International Meeting in Rabat.
