Nurse Murdered by Partner in Casablanca Hospital Attack

A man slit the throat of his partner, a nurse on duty in a private clinic, near the August 20, 1953 hospital in Casablanca on Monday, September 27.
A 47-year-old man went last Monday to a private clinic in the vicinity of the public hospital where Fatim Zahra, 34, his partner, was working to meet her. An argument broke out between the couple as they were heading towards the ophthalmology department of the public hospital, reports SNRTnews. The companion stabbed his fiancée to death. Alerted, the police arrived at the scene. The alleged murderer was arrested without resistance. During his arrest, he made incoherent remarks and stammered. The young woman’s body was taken to the morgue.
According to the victim’s uncle, it is a crime of passion. "This man persecuted her. She was not his fiancée, but he wanted to marry her, but we refused. He has a bad reputation and worse, he has a criminal record. [...] She was so afraid of him that she asked me to accompany her to work by taxi... I don’t understand," he told Le360. "He is a man with a criminal record, he has harmed his relatives and has even been accused of theft. We could not give our daughter to him," added the aunt of Fatim.
