Newborn Twins Found Abandoned Near Nice Mosque, Police Investigate

Two babies under six months old were found by residents of the Gare Thiers neighborhood, next to a mosque in Nice. An investigation has been opened.
This discovery was made between two cars next to the mosque located on Rue Reine-Jeanne, said the deputy public prosecutor. Their mother would have left them there, indicate a police source to the newspaper Nice Matin.
An investigation has been opened for abandonment of minors, entrusted to the juvenile brigade of the Departmental Security. The video surveillance of the neighborhood could allow the investigators to quickly solve the case.
For now, the two babies, in good health, have been taken to the Lenval hospital, before being "placed", the prosecutor concluded.
