Newborn Girl Rescued from Dumpster in Moroccan City of Khouribga

In Hay al Quds, in Khouribga, citizens are said to have been alerted by the incessant cries of a baby, just a few days old. This baby was left near a dumpster. The people on the spot immediately called the authorities to inform them of the whole affair.

The newborn was hungry, judging by its incessant cries. This prompted a woman to breastfeed it, as she probably could not bear to leave the young child suffering like this.

The police were tasked with opening an investigation to determine the circumstances of this case and find its mother as well as the person who put this child there, its mother or someone else. The infant was taken to the Hassan II Hospital in Khouribga.
