Infant Killed, Parents Injured in High-Speed Crash Near Ouarzazate, Morocco

A child barely 8 months old has just died in an accident when his father, who was driving at high speed, was unable to maintain control of the vehicle, which ended up in the ditch. The parents are also injured.
The tragedy took place on national road number 10 connecting Ouarzazate to Skoura, and more precisely 25 km from Ouarzazate. The car, which was carrying this family traveling from the Errachidia region to Ouarzazate, was traveling at excessive speed. Unable to maintain control of the vehicle, the father went off the road.
In addition to the death of the child who would not even have been eight months old, the mother suffered several fractures to the shoulder, and the father was seriously injured.
The civil protection and royal gendarmerie agents went to the scene and transferred the parents to the hospital so that they could receive the necessary care. The child’s body was taken to the morgue.
An investigation has been opened by the public prosecutor’s office to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
