Negev Summit: Morocco Joins Historic Middle East Security Talks in Israel

Morocco is participating alongside several countries including the United States in the Negev Summit in Israel. A "historic" meeting initiated to discuss regional challenges.
It is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, who made the trip to Israel, the very first after the normalization signed in December 2020. He will discuss with his Israeli, American, Emirati, Egyptian and Bahraini counterparts.
During the summit scheduled for March 27 and 28, the diplomats will discuss, in addition to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, regional issues of interest, including the Iranian nuclear issue and the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and will conclude with statements from the various ministers.
Nasser Bourita will also meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Rabat, as part of the American diplomat’s regional tour in Israel, the West Bank, Morocco and Algeria.
