24 Nations Set for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco

Morocco is preparing to host the Africa Cup of Nations from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. No less than six Arab teams have qualified for this great African football event: Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, the Comoros and Tunisia.
Qualified automatically as the host country, Morocco has not been idle. The Atlas Lions have dominated the qualifiers, winning six matches out of six. With 18 points on the board and an impressive ratio of 26 goals scored against only two conceded, they are sending a clear message to their competitors. The Gabonese (4-1 and 5-1), the Central Africans (5-0 and 4-0) and the Basotho (1-0 and 7-0) have paid the price.
The Comoros and Tunisia are also joining the Moroccan adventure. The Comorians finished top of Group A with 12 points, while the Tunisians, despite a defeat against Gambia (1-0), recovered to clinch the second place in their group with 10 points.
Egypt, the solid leader of Group C (14 points), and Algeria, imperious at the top of Group E (16 points), will also be there. Sudan completes the picture by qualifying narrowly with a second place in Group F (8 points). On the other hand, Libya and Mauritania missed the boat.
In total, 24 nations will compete for the supreme title: Morocco, Comoros, Tunisia, Gabon, Egypt, Botswana, Nigeria, Benin, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Sudan, Zambia, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Tanzania, Mali, Mozambique, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Uganda, Senegal and Burkina Faso. May the best team win!
