Napoli’s Malcuit Weighs Morocco Call-Up Amid France National Team Hopes

Summoned by Vahid Halilhodzic to take part in the gathering of the Atlas Lions for friendly matches, Kevin Malcuit is having trouble deciding. The Naples player remains tempted by the French national team, even if for now Didier Deschamps does not seem to be looking in his direction.
The surprise created by the Bosnian coach in negotiating the arrival of the Naples player has not yet borne fruit. And for good reason, the 28-year-old player is attached to the French team, despite the latter’s disinterest in him, reports Hespress.
The former Lille member still hopes for a possible invitation from coach Didier Deschamps. Failing that, he could join the Lions’ squad. How long will he wait? For now, the Napoli player is not ready to give his final agreement to Morocco and lose the hand extended by France in case Deschamps decides to do so.
"For some time now, he has been hoping for a call from France that has not yet arrived. If Malcuit were to accept the call-up of Morocco for these two friendly matches, I don’t know if he could then accept that of France if it comes later, I’m not very aware of the regulations and in football things change quickly," said the player’s agent to an Italian media.
