Napoli Defender Kévin Malcuit Declines Morocco National Team Call-Up

Kévin Malcuit does not intend to respond to the first call-up from the Atlas Lions coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, for Morocco’s upcoming friendly matches. This is at least what the entourage of the Naples player affirms.
Morocco will play its friendly matches against Libya and Gabon on October 11 and 15 without Kévin Malcuit. He will not join the Atlas Lions squad.
The entourage of the Naples player has confirmed the information to Le360. According to one of his relatives, it would be a strange and sudden turnaround, as the Neapolitan defender had received his first call-up with a certain enthusiasm.
According to some indiscretions, one of the reasons for this turnaround is that the 28-year-old player expects to receive a call from the French national team, which is slow to materialize.
The other reason mentioned would be related to the player’s feelings, following the discourteous comments on social networks that followed the announcement of his call-up to join the Atlas Lions. The posts have since been deleted.
