Morocco Calls Up Mehdi Carcela for Upcoming Friendly Matches Against Libya and Gabon

After the withdrawal of some key players from the national team, Vahid Halilhodzic has summoned another player for the friendly matches against Libya on October 11 and Gabon on October 15. It is Mehdi Carcela, a player from Standard Liège.
After Omar El Kaddouri (PAOK Salonika), Nayef Aguerd (Dijon), Abdelkrim Baadi (Hassania d’Agadir) and Walid El Karty (Wydad de Casablanca), it is Mehdi Carcela’s turn to be called up by the national team coach.
The Standard Liège player will have to join Oujda for the friendly match that the national team will play against Libya on Friday, October 11, according to a source within the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
Mehdi Carcela will thus fill the void left by Ismail El Haddad, called up with the locals of Houcine Ammouta.
This is the second time the Franco-Bosnian has called on Carcela. The player had participated in the friendly match that had opposed Morocco to Burkina Faso (1-1). During this match, he had made a decisive pass, which had allowed Zouhair Feddal to equalize.
