Mysterious Skin Rash Outbreak at Moroccan School Prompts Health Investigation

An idiopathic skin rash has appeared in students of a school in Meknes, causing a general state of panic within the regional delegation, which hastened to send a special commission.
The sudden appearance of hives in the schoolchildren forced the educational and health authorities within the regional delegations to set up an emergency cell led by a doctor from the pharmacovigilance unit.
The medical examinations carried out on site revealed a non-contagious skin condition, induced by poor hygiene. The infected students received topical treatment, with regular medical follow-up.
An awareness campaign on the importance of hygiene in disease prevention has been scheduled by the regional delegation of education, jointly with the local authorities and the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health.
