Muslim Charity Founder Sues French Interior Minister for Alleged Abuse of Power

Idriss Sihamedi, founding president of BarakaCity, has decided to file a complaint against the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, for abuse of power and defamation. He announced it in a live broadcast on Twitter.
The official is pleased to have won three successive legal victories, including one against journalist and activist Zineb El Rhazoui. Idriss Sihamedi believes that the dissolution of his NGO is linked to his last trial for "cyberbullying". "There is reason to know whether the dissolution was legitimate," he said, stressing that this situation affects 2 million beneficiaries.
On October 28, Gérald Darmanin had tweeted to announce the dissolution of BarakaCity by the Council of Ministers. "The BarakaCity association was dissolved in the Council of Ministers this morning. As detailed in the decree I presented, it incited hatred, maintained relations within the radical Islamist movement, and took pleasure in justifying terrorist acts," explained the minister.
