Munir El Haddadi Eager to Join Morocco National Team After FIFA Approval

Moroccan international Munir El Haddadi has "expressed his great joy" as soon as he received authorization from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to wear the Moroccan jersey. He made this known in a short video sent to beIN Sports.
"I just learned the news. I want to express my great joy. It is a source of pride after all the work we have done to change my situation and allow me to play for Morocco. I am very happy, very impatient and I look forward to rejoining the national team," said the Sevilla FC striker.
The brand new Moroccan international can join the Atlas Lions during the next gatherings of the Atlas Lions thanks to the adoption of the Lekjaâ reform and the relaxation of the rules on nationality change.
On Friday, September 18, the Lekjaâ reform, proposed by the president of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), was widely adopted (193 out of 209 participants) and revolutionized African football. This is a regulation that governs eligibility to play for a representative team.
