Munir El Haddadi Scores First Goal for Morocco After Nationality Switch

After taking his first steps with the Atlas Lions on March 26 against Mauritania (0-0) and March 30 against Burundi (1-0), where he scored his first goal, Munir El Haddadi is proud of his first performances with the Moroccan national football team. He did not hesitate to express his gratitude to those who fought to make this change of sporting nationality possible.
"A dream come true"! This is how Moroccan international Munir El Haddadi describes his change of sporting nationality. He alludes to the obstacles, but also to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), whose determination allowed him to be eligible. Nothing would have been possible without the leadership of the boss of Moroccan football, Fouzi Lekjaa.
On the Sevilla FC website, the striker thanked the leader. "They say hope is the last thing to lose. They called me one day and told me it was possible to play for Morocco and I was very excited. Thanks to the president and all those who made this possible, I was able to make my debut. From the first day I went there, when I couldn’t play, they welcomed me with open arms, I got to know many teammates who have played here and thanks to them, I was able to enjoy it. I was very excited, I really wanted to play, to defend myself and I think it went very well," he said.
