Morocco Calls Up Munir El Haddadi for Crucial Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers

The brand new Moroccan international, Munir El Haddadi, has been summoned by the coach of the national team as part of the last qualifying matches for the 2022 CAN. The "Sevillista" will wear the jersey of the Atlas Lions on March 22 alongside his teammates Youssef En-Nesyri and Yassine Bounou.
Finally authorized to play for Morocco after several years of legal battle, Munir El Haddadi will be able to play for the Moroccan national team alongside his teammates from Sevilla FC.
The Moroccan striker will defend the colors of the kingdom in the first away match against Mauritania, scheduled for March 22. He will also be lined up during the home match against Burundi, scheduled for March 30, 2021.
Summoned by French coach Halilhodzic during the international break in October, El Haddadi had to return to Spain, in the absence of a final authorization from FIFA.
