Mother’s Trial for Throwing Children from Building Delayed in Casablanca

The tragedy took place on October 23, 2019. Three children were thrown out of a five-story building by their mother, who was arrested and held in pre-trial detention until her trial, which began on January 20 before the Court of Appeal near the Court of First Instance of Casablanca.
The trial was adjourned to February 10. The defendant’s husband decided to withdraw the complaint he had filed against his wife, which allowed the defense lawyer to sharpen his arguments.
According to sources close to the investigation, the mother’s behavior suggests that she has behavioral disorders. However, the expert assessment carried out during the investigation has not yet confirmed this thesis.
