Morocco confirms its status as a global reference. Elected best stadium 2025, the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat dominates a global ranking where five Moroccan stadiums are featured in the prestigious top 10.
The 16th edition of the "Stadium of the Year" competition, organized by the specialized platform StadiumDB.com, has designated the most beautiful stadium inaugurated in 2025. With 14,481 points, the Moulay Abdellah Complex has emerged as the symbol of the Kingdom’s massive investments for the 2025 CAN and the 2030 World Cup.
Rebuilt in a record time of 18 months for a budget exceeding 3 billion dirhams, this architectural jewel offers 68,700 seats. Its modern design is inspired by Moroccan identity with a facade reminiscent of palm leaves and a hybrid grass technology unprecedented in Africa.
The stadium has state-of-the-art facilities, including 110 VIP boxes, a 1,800-seat press gallery and ten official commercial spaces. This major venue of national football, inaugurated in September 2025, guarantees a spectator experience meeting the highest international standards of comfort and safety.
The Grand Stade de Tanger takes second place in the global ranking with 10,453 points. Now with 75,000 seats, it incorporates high-tech equipment, including 900 facial recognition cameras and cryotherapy areas dedicated to player performance.
Two other venues in the capital, the Moulay El Hassan stadium (5th) and the El Medina stadium (7th), confirm the regional supremacy. Modernized at a total cost of 1.4 billion dirhams, these stadiums have already hosted major international matches during the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Rabat Olympic Stadium closes this historic performance by ranking 9th. Versatile and approved by World Athletics, this 21,000-seat complex has proven its operational excellence during the Diamond League and the Women’s CAN, highlighting the diversity of Moroccan expertise.
