Morocco: Ex-Wife and Alleged Lover Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of Man

A woman and her alleged lover have been referred to the King’s Attorney General in Kalaât Sraghna. This presentation follows preliminary investigations conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie regarding their supposed involvement in the murder of the accused woman’s ex-husband.
The events shocked the Beni Amr region last Sunday with the discovery of a man’s body. The victim was lying in the middle of fields and bore traces of fatal stab wounds.
According to the information gathered, investigations conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie quickly oriented the case towards the theory of a premeditated act. The sequence of events, as established by investigators, suggests that the suspect lured her ex-spouse to a field, accompanied by her lover. The pretext invoked was reportedly to settle some personal matters. Once there, the ex-husband was allegedly surprised by the lover who then attacked him. The victim reportedly tried to defend himself, but his attacker allegedly used a knife, inflicting several blows that proved fatal, resulting in his death at the very site of the assault.
During her interrogation, the accused initially denied any involvement in the events. However, her behavior during the hearing led investigators to continue their questioning until she admitted her participation in this crime, described by sources as barbaric and meticulously planned.
The two suspects have been placed in custody. The investigation continues to determine all the circumstances of this case.
