Morocco Updates Marhaba 2019 Transit Figures: Maritime Data Incomplete

The figures for the "Marhaba 2019" Operation are provisional. The information was published on Saturday, September 14, by the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, through a press release stating that the figures published on September 10 only concern the transit points related to maritime transport.
On September 10, the Ministry, in its press release, had reported 2.5 million passengers and 600,000 vehicles having transited during the period from June 5 to September 1, in both directions through the four ports concerned by the "Marhaba" 2019 Operation.
But, a major clarification, these are only the figures relating to maritime transport. As of September 12, 2019, according to the Ministry, 2.74 million passengers, 639,000 cars and 3,644 buses were recorded in both directions through the ports of Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Nador and Al Hoceima.
These figures, like those published on September 10, are provisional, according to the Ministry of Equipment. It is only after September 15 that the final figures will be published.
