Morocco Unveils Strategy to Boost Tourism Recovery Through Air Travel and Competitive Offers

Tourism promoters have their souls riveted to the recovery and spare no effort to successfully carry out the winter season. According to Nadia Fettah Alaoui, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Transport, two pillars support the promotion of the tourism sector: the reopening of air traffic and the implementation of competitive offers to attract more foreign tourists.
Since August 6, the Kingdom has had the 2020-2022 program contract for the support and revival of the tourism sector. It aims to give new impetus to national tourism in order to accompany the transformation and diversification of its value chain.
Thus, following a meeting held with the authorities of the Souss-Massa region, as well as tourism professionals, Ms. Fettah Alaoui assured of the existence of a program to upgrade the sector in the region, which focuses mainly on the air link between Agadir and Europe and the proposal of circuits with the best prices.
This was within the framework of "The meeting dedicated to the evaluation of the implementation of the 2020-2022 program contract for the support and revival of the tourism sector signed between the State and the professionals, as well as the constraints that tourist establishments must face," specified the minister.
Also taken into account is the issue of supporting professionals in the sector not covered by this program contract and assisting them in these extremely difficult times, noted Nadia Fettah Alaoui, eager to see the sector resume.
